This may finally replace Fetchmail for me. Except then I wouldn't be able to use my nifty qmail/python scripts for processing some automagically. Maybe they have a plugin for it. :-D

I know this might be a little odd, but would it be easier to just use safari to make your hotmail account into a web-based widget? I have never used and never plan to use hotmail, so I don't know if this would work.

won't hotmail disable your account if you don't check it for 3 months? even if you do forward it, i reccomend checking that out to see if you need to log in every now and then still.

I think VersionTracker Pro will check for updates to programs. It will even get them for you, if I recall correctly.

thanks for the mail tip, I've been looking for something like that for a while. I tried the google fetcher thing but hotmail didn't seem to want to be a part of it. Same reason it can be a pain trying to add a hotmail account to an iPhone, if anyone has tips on that please let me know. Mine wouldn't work at all

Thank you

Uhm, can't you just configure your Hotmail account in Gmail's account settings, under "Get mail from other accounts" and thus use Gmail Fetcher? This way you wouldn't have to actually forward.
I'm just asking though, as I'm not entirely sure how Hotmail works, I never used it :)
